What is vehicle patrol?

Security vehicle patrols, also referred to as "hits", are an essential part of maintaining safety and security in various environments. They involve trained security personnel to monitor designated areas from a vehicle, allowing for quick response to incidents and deterring potential criminal activity. This proactive approach helps ensure the protection of people and property, providing peace of mind to residents, visitors, and business owners alike. Regular patrols can also enhance visibility and create a sense of security within the community.

We provide a visible, mobile deterrent to crime and a rapid response solution for protecting properties, businesses, and communities. Uniformed security officers patrol designated areas in marked vehicles, performing routine drive-throughs, spot checks, and property inspections to ensure everything is secure.Whether it’s during business hours or overnight, our patrol teams are trained to identify suspicious activity, respond to alarms, and interact with local law enforcement when needed. Ideal for gated communities, commercial centers, construction sites, and more, our vehicle patrol service offers a cost-effective alternative to on-site guards—keeping your property safe and your peace of mind intact.

We recommend unannounced (random) inspections to be conducted; these visits help deter potential criminal activity, ensure compliance with safety regulations, and provide a visible security presence. By being unpredictable, random patrols increase the of security measures and contribute to a safer environment for employees and visitors alike.

How does vehicle patrol work?

1

Arrive To Your Property

Your property is strategically put on a patrol area route to maximize response time. The officer conducts a different, but standardized check each visit. This consists of patrolling by foot and vehicle. The patrol officer documents their arrival time and begins the patrol check.

Document Findings

The officer will document any findings via your preferred method of contact or notification. Each patrol check and client is unique - you may receive a written summary, photographs, and or videos. Depending on the importance or severity, we may immediately call or text you, or your responsible party.

Vehicle Patrol vs. Traditional Standing Guard

✅ Pros
  • Unpredictability Deters Crime: Randomized patrol times make it harder for criminals to predict when security will be present.

  • Cost-Effective: Less expensive than 24/7 on-site guards while still providing a visible security presence.

  • Wide Coverage: Can cover multiple properties or large areas efficiently in a single shift.

  • Quick Response: Mobile units can respond rapidly to alarms or incidents.

  • Visible Deterrent: Marked patrol vehicles and uniformed officers send a clear message that the area is being monitored.

  • Flexible Scheduling: Patrol frequency and timing can be customized to meet specific client needs.

  • Property Checks: Officers can inspect doors, windows, gates, and other access points during each patrol.

🔄 Similarities

  • Crime Deterrence: All provide a visible security presence that discourages criminal activity.

  • Incident Reporting: Officers document and report suspicious activity, trespassing, or property damage.

  • Property Protection: Focus is on safeguarding physical assets, buildings, and people.

  • Emergency Response Capability: Can respond to alarms, emergencies, or requests for assistance.

  • Client Customization: Services can often be tailored to meet specific site requirements or concerns.

  • Insurance Benefits: May contribute to lower insurance premiums due to enhanced property security.

  • Peace of Mind: Clients benefit from a sense of safety knowing there is active security monitoring.

⚠️ Cons

  • Not Constantly On-Site: May miss incidents that occur between patrol visits.

  • Limited Observation Time: Officers may only spend a few minutes on each property, reducing chances of spotting subtle issues.

  • Less Effective for High-Risk Areas: Properties with frequent incidents might require a more consistent or dedicated security presence.

  • Reliant on Timing: If a patrol just left and an incident occurs, response time may be delayed until the next round or call.

  • Perception of Gaps: Residents or employees may feel less secure without a constant presence.
